Helen's Pajama Party collects new pajamas for domestic violence shelters so that women arriving can have choice, and dignity

More than a million women a year are victims of domestic abuse in the United States. Almost all who seek refuge at domestic violence shelters arrive with just the clothes on their backs. Helen’s Pajama Party is a non-profit organization that collects new pajamas to give to shelters. The goal is to have a pair of new pajamas waiting for every woman who enters a shelter. You can help us by donating new pajamas with the tags left on.

It takes about 120 bins like these packed full to hold 3000 pairs of pajamas. That’s how many pairs Iowa shelters need each year.
Kitte Noble helped sort, tag and bin pajamas at the Helen’s Pajama Party in March.

Thanks to everyone who donated through the holiday season!  We are presently contacting Iowa shelters to get their current inventory and determine how many PJs are needed. Once that is complete, Helen's Pajama Party will hold its annual pajama party to sort, tag and pack pajamas. Stay tuned for the details!!

We currently need:

More pajamas! (this year looks a little light on donations, but the need keeps growing)

Volunteers to hold drives at their church, school, office, social clubs, etc...!
